  “During the freeze a pipe burst in an exterior wall behind our kitchen sink. Water was coming out from under our kitchen cabinets and into our laundry room. All of the restoration places said they wouldn't be able to get here for 3-5 days. Guardian said they would be here the next morning and sure enough they were at my door the next morning at 7:30. They were very nice and very thorough. They explained that they needed to cut the drywall a couple feet up to allow the wall cavity to dry. They showed me the moisture meter and the readings it was getting. They came back every day until the walls were dry and worked directly with my adjuster. They replaced the drywall and baseboards and even painted for me. I was worried about them matching the color, but they took a paint chip from another room and matched it perfectly. My kitchen looks better than it did before the water leak. If you are in the Austin area, save this number.”

  “Our problem began with a warm spot on our floor and a doubling of our water bill. We had a slab leak on the hot water line. Our plumber rerouted the hot water line and recommended Guardian to dry out the slab. They had to pull up the laminate flooring in our kitchen and breakfast area, but were able to dry out our lower cabinets without pulling them out, saving us a lot of money.   “I had a grease fire on my stove a Sunday night. Luckily everyone got out but the whole kitchen was black and the entire house smelled like a campfire. To make it worse the fire department left water all over the kitchen floor. I was in complete shock. Sam came out that night and explained what was going to happen for the next few days. The next thing I knew they had everything in the kitchen and living room boxed up and being cleaned. They cleaned every wall and ceiling in my house and left air scrubbers and odor removing machines for about a week. They replaced my upper kitchen cabinets and drywall and paint. It took about 5 weeks but Sam kept me updated every other day by phone. It’s been two months and my house smells normal and you would never know there was a fire! Thank you!”

  “We came back from a week in Colorado to find our AC drain line in the attic was clogged and overflowed onto our bedroom ceiling. A part of the ceiling was sagging. We called Orlando and he was over that evening to take a look at it. He carefully cut out only the wet part of the ceiling. It took four days to dry and he replaced it, textured it to match and painted it.   “I almost didn't call anyone because I read so much about companies that come out, scare the customers, and then end up doing $15,000 of work. I found some black spots on the wall behind our master shower and noticed that the baseboard was soft. They opened a small part of the drywall and determined that our shower pan was leaking slowly (probably for a year). They explained this to me and did not try to scare me at all. They brought in the mold remediation company that they work with, the company put plastic and air scrubbers up, and removed the drywall. Then Guardian rebuilt the wall and replaced the baseboards once the clearance test came back clean. We used our own tile guy to redo the shower and Guardian coordinated with him for timing. Everything was explained to me in plain English and I didn't feel pressured at all.”

  “My main line backed up on a Friday night, and sewage came up through the shower and toilet in our guest bath and also into the carpet of the hall. What a mess!!   “My Mom is 81 and lives on her own in Sun City, Georgetown. Her toilet backed up and overflowed while she was at water aerobics class.   “My toddler flushed a bath toy down the toilet in our hall, and while we slept, the toilet overflowed. Needless to say, the bathroom and part of the hall (carpet) were soaked. I called Guardian and they came out within a couple of hours. They got everything dried out in no time (took about four days). It took almost two weeks to get them to come out and rebuild, but that was due to the fact that they were quite busy. They did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves. I'm giving them four stars due to the length of time it took to get them to come out and rebuild.”

  “Our dryer caught on fire inside our house. The fire was contained to the laundry room, but the smoke permeated into every closet and room of our house, plus all of our clothes. The team at Guardian were excellent. They cleaned walls and ceilings throughout the entire house and replaced drywall and cabinets in the laundry room.   “Hail got our roof back in April. When it rained, water leaked through our ceiling in the upstairs game room. Our roofer tarped the roof and we called Guardian who came out the same evening to dry the attic and remove insulation.   “Our dental office had a problem over night where the supply line under one of our sinks in an operatory blew out.   “We had a leak from our shower valve that got into our bathroom and bedroom walls as well as under our vanity. It took about a week to dry out, a couple days longer than they originally thought (the water had gotten under our vanity which took a bit longer to dry). They told us that right away instead of waiting till the end to tell us. The only reason for 4 stars is because the equipment is VERY loud and gives off a ton of heat so don't expect to get a good night's sleep for about a week. That's really not their fault but just be prepared for it. They did a very nice job and were very honest as well.”

  “We had only been in our house for 9 days when our water heater decided to leak through the ceiling of our master closet (it's in the attic). We didn't have a clue what we were doing, and Sam was extremely patient with us.   “My 14 year old son turned on the bath water upstairs, got on his phone and forgot about it. When we heard the drip and saw the water coming through the ceiling light fixture in the living room, we called Guardian. They came out at 10pm (we called around 9pm) and had us shut off the breaker for that circuit, opened the ceiling up to dry it out and left fans and de-humidifiers upstairs and downstairs. They came back every day to check the moisture level and told us what it was. When everything was dry, they patched the hole in the ceiling, re-textured and painted. I can't even find the hole now! I've also banned my son from taking baths!”
